Main directions of activity: scientific researches in epidemiology, microbiology, phthisiology, hygiene, toxicology; study of epidemiology of especially dangerous infectious diseases caused by arbovirus and ricketts, Lime disease and also infectious diseases, guided facilities of specific prophylaxis: diphtheria, stupor; providing of ecological and epidemiology supervision over it, development and improvement of methods of diagnostics and prophylaxis; study of epidemiology and clinic tuberculosis and non-specific lung diseases, development and perfection of methods of disease prevention, diagnostics and treatment; study of exogenous and endogenous factors of risk and establishing of conformity of human health and ambient objects with influence of anthropogenic-technological factors causing iodine-deficit disease; development and perfection of methodological approaches for setting norms of separate chemical agents and their combinations in soil and water of reservoirs, search of alternative methods in toxicology; preparation of projects of legislative and normative acts in the field of health protection.

Main products and services: sanitary-hygienic examination of cosmetics, consumer goods, polymers, industrial and agricultural objects; development of criteria, indexes and normative values guaranteeing safe production and application of domestic and import products for human health; granting of medical care - laboratory diagnostics, phthisiology and pulmonology.
