Kyiv National University of Building and Architecture

KYIV NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF BUILDING AND ARCHITECTURE is the leading educational institution in Ukraine training specialists for construction industry.
Among 7,5 thousands of students study at the University. They master 19 specialities on daytime, correspondence and external forms of training. The educational process is provided with 44 faculties, completed with highly skilled scientific - pedagogical personnel consisting of more than 400 scientists with scientific degrees and ranks, among them 100 doctors of sciences, professors.

Terms of training:
The daytime form: For the bachelors - 4 years; for the specialists, magisters - 5 years (direction of preparation "Architecture" - 5,5 years);
The correspondence form: For the bachelors - 5 years; for the specialists, magisters - 6 years.
The training is financed by means of the State budget of Ukraine and local budgets; using the preferential long-term credits; means of the legal persons; means of the private persons.

Multistage preparation of the specialists for building brunch is realized by students on the faculties:

- THE BUILDING FACULTY prepares the bachelors on directions “Building" and "Management", specialists and magisters on specialities: Industrial and Civil Engineering; Management of Organization.

- THE FACULTY OF URBAN BUILDING prepares the bachelors on directions "Building" and "A Geodesy, Cartography and Ground Area Organizing", specialists and magisters on specialities: Urban Building and Economy; Geodesy;
Ground Area Organizing and Cadaster.

- THE BUILDING-TECHNOLOGICAL FACULTY prepares the bachelors on a direction "Building", specialists and magisters on a speciality: Technology of Building Constructions, Products and Materials.

- THE ARCHITECTURAL FACULTY prepares the bachelors on directions "Architecture" and "Art", specialists and magisters on specialities: Architecture of Buildings and Structures; Town-Planning; Design of the Architectural Environment; Fine and Decorative - Applied Art.

- THE SANITARY - TECHNICAL FACULTY prepares the bachelors on directions "Construction", " Water Resources " and "Ecology", specialists and magisters on specialities: Ecology and Protection of an Environment; Heart, Gas Supply and Ventilation; Structures and Equipment for Systems of Water Supply and Water Removing; Water Supply and Water Removing.

- THE FACULTY OF AUTOMATION OF BUILDING MANUFACTURING prepares the bachelors on the directions " The Engineering mechanics ", " Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies " and " Computer Sciences ", specialists and magisters on specialities: Cargo-Lifting, Transport, Building, Road, Irrigate Machine and Equipment; Automated Management of the Technological Processes; Informative Managing Systems and Technologies; Informative Technologies of Design; Project Management.

For the training of the persons, which have the diploma of the younger specialist or bachelor, the FACULTY OF IMPROVEMENT OF PROFESSIONAL SKILL AND RETRAINING OF THE SPECIALISTS is functioning at the University.
The form of training is “daytime - correspondence” (mixed) with a partial distraction on the main work. The term of training is up to 3,5 years.
Besides the SPECIAL FACULTY for the retrain of specialists of the new directions in a science, engineering and technologies is created at the University.

THE FACULTY OF PRELIMINARY PREPARATION provides qualitative selection, professional orientation and fundamental preparation of youth for entering into University.

THE PREPARATORY FACULTY works for the foreign citizens wishing to study at the University.
For the citizens of Ukraine wishing to study abroad, the Kyiv Center of Correspondent Education is created together with the University " FERN UNIVERSITAT " (Hagen, Germany).

THE MILITARY FACULTY for preparation of the officers of a stock prepares the specialists of a civil defense for the Ministry on Extreme Situations and on Protection of the Population Against Consequences of the Chornobyl Accident.

The Post-graduate preparation functions at the University, 9 specialized Scientific Councils for protection of the doctor's and candidate dissertations in 25 scientific specialities, 7 research institutes and 11 specialized research laboratories works.

The property base includes 6 educational cases, center of information technologies and computer aided audiences specialized laboratories, sports complex, library complex and reading hall (more then million ones), 8 hostels, hotel, sanatorium, educational - rehabilitation camp, food enterprises etc.
