Travel Agency "Galychintour" is situated in the city of Striy, the Lviv oblast. Striy is the third biggest city in the oblast. It is located on the left bank of the river Striy that is an inflow of the river Dnister. The distance to Lviv is 75 km, to Morshyn - 12 km and to Truskavets - 50 km.
Being an important junction of the railway and highway network Striy has all the preconditions for considerable tourist potential. There could be arranged a lot of tours with the starting point in Striy. The first record of the city is dated by the year 1385. Striy lived through the invasions of Tartars and Hungarian feudal lords. Polish gentry rouled the city for quite a long time. I.Franko, S.Krushelnitsky, M.Zankovetska, L.Kurbas, S.Bandera and other outstanding people lived and worked in the city. The city population is 70 thousand people. Striy is an industrial and transportation centre of the Prykarpattya. There are a railway-carriage repair plant, a machine-building plant, a car repair plant, a glass manufacturing plant and a plant for metal and ferroconcrete items manufacturing. In the near future under the agreement with an American enterprise the reconstruction of the millitary airdrome will be performed, so that it would become an international airport. The runway would even allow landing for the aircraft of "Boing" type.
