Mostobud is the greatest Ukrainian firm that deae with construction of bridges, viaducts, trestles and other engineering structures.

It was founded in 1945 in Kiev as Bridge Building Administration of the Dniper basin. The aims of the organization were the restoration of the bridgeworks destroyed during the World War II and the construction of new ones on the transport communications of Ukraine. In 1962 the organization was renamed to Bridge Building trust "Mostostroy №1", which occupied the leading place among trusts of the Soviet Union, according both to the volumes of civil engineering works and to the complexity of erected structures. The Joint-Stock Company Mostobud was organized on the basis of "Mostostroy №1" by the decision of the Ukrainian State Property Fund in 1993; it maintained and increased its industrial-technical potential.

Technical equipment, high professional level and experience allow the collective to realize the construction of the most complicated engineering structures in short periods of time with a high quality of works.

Near the 4000 of engineering structures were constructed by Mostobud during the 55-year period. Among them there are 900 railway bridges and over-bridges with a total length of 48900 running meters, 2100 motor-road bridges and overpasses with a total length of more than 100,000 running meters and the great number of pedestrian bridges and subways.

The outstanding engineering structures constructed by Mostobud are the cause for pride of our bridge building industry. The eminent characteristics of constructions are distinguished all over the world. Among such constructions there are bridges over the river Dniper in Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Dneprodzerzhinsk and Kherson; bridges over rivers Don, Dnister, South Bug, Ingul, Prypyat, Desna; complicated multicircled grade-crossing elimination structures in Kiev, Kharkov, Odessa and others.

Nowadays the Joint-Stock Company Mostobud is a multiple collective, which includes 11 Bridge Building detachments, administration of Mechanization, project bureau, educational center, sportive health-improving base on Bugaz.

Mostobud has the license of Derzhbuds (state buildings) of Ukraine and Russia for bridge-transport constructions of any complexity at all the territory of Ukraine and Russia. Also Mostobud has the license of Ministry of Education of Ukraine for the right to prepare builders-specialists; other licenses.
