"YugCement" Public Joint-Stock Company – is the biggest company in production of construction materials in the south of Ukraine. It was founded in 1994 at the basis of Olshanskoye Cement Works, design capacity is 1266 th. Tonnes per year. It is situated in Nikolayev district of Nikolayev region, Ukraine, 35 km. away from Nikolayev. The enterprise has its own raw material basis - limestone and clay quarry, situated 2 rm. away from the works. The raw material is delivered by motor transport. The company is connected with the biggest industrial centers and cities of the country by the railway of Odessa railways and the motorway Odessa – Simferopol.

Since 2000 the works is the property of world-wide known "Dyckerhoff" cement company, which owns cement works in many countries of the world.
During 2000 – 2001 the works was reconstructed, production capacities were renewed.

Company products:

The company produces the following grades:
PC II/A-Sh-500 (portland cement of grade 500), PC II/A-Sh-400, PC II/B-Sh-400, (portland cements of grade 400), SS ShPC-400 D 60 (sulphate-resistant slag portland cement of grade 400) and ShPC III/A-400.

The offered products are certified, every consignment is provided with a quality certificate with notion of performance specifications in accordance with standard documentation.
The level of total specific activity of radionuclides amounts to max. 100, with the standard of 370 for the cements used to construct residential houses.

PC II/A Sh – 500 – is certified in accordance with the demands of Standards of Ukraine BV.2.7.-46-96, is applied for constructions of the improved strength;
PC II/A Sh – 400 – is certified in accordance with the demands of Standards of Ukraine BV.2.7.-46-96, is applied in all kinds of construction to produce concrete, reinforced concrete overground constructions, underground constructions which are disposed to alternate temperature and humidity effect;
PC II/B Sh – 400 – is certified in accordance with the demands of Standards of Ukraine BV.2.7.-46-96, is applied for similar aims as PC II/A – Sh – 400, but for goods and constructions of less strength. Products manufactured of it are characterised by improved tolerance to corrosive mediums;
SS ShPC 400–D60 – is certified in accordance with the demands of Standards of Ukraine BV.2.7.-46-96, has improved resistance in sulphate water, especially in sea water. It is applied for construction of dams, berths, silo pits and other underwater and underground constructions which are not exploited in the zones of alternate humidification – drying and in zones with high temperatures as well;
ShPC III/A-400 - is certified in accordance with the demands of Standards of Ukraine BV.2.7.-46-96, applied to produce concrete and reinforced concrete constructions, especially those produced with thermal treatment for overgroung and underground constructions. It is not recommended to apply it in zones of alternate water effect and in construction with low temperatures as well.

Packaging and Transporting Capacities

The main customers are construction complexes and companies of the southern regions of Ukraine and Kiev.
The goods are dispatched in bulk into railway carriages and motor transport. It is also packed into bags (50 kg) and BIG-BAGs (1000 and 1500 kg).
The works obtains an approach line with exit to Yasnaya Zarya station.
Since the works is in an advantageous geographic position (it is close to the ports of the Black and Azov seas) it has the possibility to fulfil supplies of its products abroad.
