"Khartron - Energo Ltd.", Research and Production Enterprise was founded in 1998 on the basis of microelectronics workshop and design office, which belonged to open joint-stock company "Khartron".

The main courses of plant activity are development and manufacture of electrical equipment for automated control systems.

At present Research and Production Enterprise "Khartron - Energo" ltd has highly qualified stuff and modern equipment, made abroad. All these allow to develop and manufacture of electrical equipment at high technical level.

There are such departments in the plant structure:
- design department, consisting of circuit designers, designers, technologists and programmers;
- material and technical supply department;
- quality maintenance department, consisting of technical control department;
- production consisting of:
- assembly sector;
- sector of SMD-assembling;
- mechanical and assembly sector;
- regulation sector;
- mechanical sector;
- casting sector.

The manufacture of Research-and-production plant "Khartron - Energo" ltd has at its disposal the following:
- SMD-assembling technology (Siemens equipment, which allows to perform one-sided and double-sided surface mounting);
- assembling technology and assembling quality control of chips in case type BGA;
- subassembly manufacture;
- testing equipment, which allows to test the quality of assembling and find out potentially unreliable radio components.

During the recent years the plant developed the design documentation and mastered repetition work of articles for Zaporozhye and Khmelnitsk nuclear power stations, Kharkov TPC-5, Zmiyev TPS and others. Among the articles developed and manufactured by Research-and-production plant "Khartron - Energo" ltd there are:
- antijamming blocks УКТС-Д with diagnostics for control systems after engineering procedures of NPS with VVRR-1000 reactors;
- equipment for computer-based systems of TPS (TPC) (boxes and blocks УКТЗ-У, relay modules, illuminated call-out TSS99, TSB, rotation annunciators);
- common gas annunciator;
- panel installations.

Research-and-production plant "Khartron - Energo" ltd pays special attention to the questions of improving output goods - the goods delivered for Ukrainian NPSs have certificates of conformance, and the products quality control system is certificated according to the DSTY ISO 9001-2001 (ISO 9001:2000).
