Ukrrentgen, Joint-Stock Company

Director - Igor M. Babenko

"Ukrrentgen", Joint-Stock Company is the leading producer of the roentgen fluorescent spectrometers (material analyzers) in Ukraine. Elaboration of apparatus and methods of analysis is carried out in a close co-operation with the scientists from National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnical Institute".

According to the design documentation of JSC "Ukrrentgen", which performs the final assemblage and checkout of the apparatus, specialized enterprises carry out manufacture of sensitive units of mechanic, vacuum apparatus and high-voltage gears.

Since 1995 the specialists from Institute of Transistor Physics of Ukrainian National Academy of Science (Kyiv) and State Research-and-Production Association "Metrology" (Kharkiv) joined to creation of new native spectrometers "SPRUT". In 1996 the "SPRUT" completely passed the State Acceptance Tests and was certified by the State Standard of Ukraine as measuring tool and listed into the State register of production produced in Ukraine (№Y703-96).

Spectrometers "SPRUT" got an appreciation from the Ukrainian President (www.isp.kiev.ua), the leaders of Ukrainian National Academy of Science. The spectrometers were exhibited at the exhibitions in Dubai (UAA), Kiev, Kharkov (Ukraine) and others.

At present hardware-based and analytical complexes are produced on the basis of air ("SPRUT-S) and vacuum ("SPRUT-V") spectrometers of different modifications, and also multi-channel quantometers with the number of channels up to 5 ("SPRUT-K").

The set of delivery of complexes includes:
- block of the spectrometer (quantometer);
- control and registration unit;
- computer, printer;
- basic software;
- gas system ("SPRUT-V" and "SPRUT-K");
- fore-vacuum post ("SPRUT-V" and "SPRUT-K");
- balancing and commissioning at the Customer's place;
- training of the Customer's stuff during 20-day period;
- certificate of metrological certification;
- after-sales service (12 months).

At extra cost the Customer can get the following methods - "Unknown Sample", "Powder Test" and others.

The main difference between vacuum and air spectrometers lies in the range of analyzable elements. The air spectrometer allows to analyze the elements from titanium (№ 22) to uranium (№ 92), the vacuum one - from sodium (№ 11) to uranium (№ 92). The vacuum spectrometer is more complicated device. However, the air spectrometer provides lower threshold of detectability in its range of analyzable elements. Quantimeter provide with higher sensitivity for analyzable elements (there is a possibility to install the channel for carbon (№6) analysis).

On the basis of "SPRUT" spectrometers a number of laboratories were accredited.
