Roma, Commercial and Production Firm, Limited Liability Company

The Commercial and Production Company «ROMA» was set up in 1992 by the Tsymbalov brothers as retail and wholesale seller in foodstuffs. The enterprise had a chain of outlets and kiosks, and the turnover growth of the company made it possible to accumulate the initial capital to begin the production. In 1995 a bakery equipped with the equipment manufactured by the Turkish company "Khyurmak" was built.

In 1996 it was decided to construct the company's own mill using equipment manufactured by the "Orkimsen" company. The bakery enabled to increase the output and volume of sale as well as to create additional jobs and provide the bakery witgh high-quality flour.

In 1997 the company set up a subsidiary trade unit on the basis of the existing distribution system to develop trade in company's products. At present the company owns 5 outlets and a trading pavillion.

In 1997 the second flour producing line was put into operation. In 1998-1999 the company reconstructed the bakery through expanding its production area and mounting additional equipment.

As a subdivision, the company has a certification laboratory to check the quality of raw materials and finished products, fleet of trucks that includes 4 ten-ton trucks, 2 bread-delivery trucks, 2 minibuses and 2 cars.

The mill produces flour of the superior, first and second categories, with the actual output amounting to 20 tons a day; bran; a wide range of bakery products from the above-mentioned categories of flour; dietic bread with additives of bran, rye-bread; a great variety of pastry, with the actual output being 1100 kg/24hours.

In 1999 a macroni producing line was added to the rest of the production facilities.

The wholesale trade in finished products is carried out through both cashless settlement and for cash with enterprises and organizations of the Kharkiv and other regions of Ukraine.

The administration of the enterprise sees as its highest priority to develop the following trends in production and commerce:
- production of flour of the premium, first and second grades and chaff;
- production of bread products;
- transportation services;
- production and marketing activity in the processing and sale of agricultural products.

To achieve the above aims, the company has been intensively investing its funds in the development of its production facilities. Market research is carried out with the purpose of determining its potential capacity for specific types of goods, the demand, the competition conditions and the sales mechanisms.
