The Artemivsk Union of Small Business Assistance and Protection was founded as a result of the strike of entrepreneurs in 1996.

The Union has the following main objectives:
- Protect rights of entrepreneurs;
Inform the public about entrepreneurs of Artemivsk;
- Monitor and analyze the implementation of legislative acts; provide this information to the public;
- Protect interests of local entrepreneurs with the city authorities.
