Rivne Regional Business Center is the coordination center for business support in Rivne region.

Mission/objective:
Small and medium business support through consulting, education-methodical training, information provision services.

Main RRBC’s services:
educational-methodical, information provision and consulting.

Rivne regional business center has been created in 1997 with the support of Eurasia foundation and USAID.

Basic tasks of RRBC:
- Practical-study training of specialists in the sphere of small business and training of entrepreneurs-beginners in entrepreneurship activity organization and private business initiation;
- Small business human resources selection, their professional training in practical questions of business administration;
- Consulting in economic questions of business management;
- Business-plans and investment projects preparations;
- Investment environment analysis for active material and financial resources attraction to support and develop entrepreneurship in the region;
- Information provision, necessary business services supply for small business representatives;
- Promotion of the unification process of the efforts and opportunities of small business representatives, public organizations and executive government authorities of Rivne region for the solutions of vital issues of entrepreneurship development;
- Explanation of the small business roles and perspectives through conduction of information-education campaigns.

INTERNATIONAL GRANT PROGRAMS FOR ABROAD STUDY/INTERNSHIP:
Qualification upgrade programs. International specimen education certificate provided according to the topics. Opportunities:

- Providing access to telephone, fax, personal computer, scanner, printer; Providing access to Internet, creation and support of electronic mail boxes;
- Translation from (to) English, Polish and Russian;
- Organization of transportation and accomodation;
- Organization of presentations, conferences, round-tables.

RESULTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS:

RRBC has fulfilled the following tasks:
- 31 business plans have been developed for the representatives of small and medium business;
- $2450 US of investments have been attracted into the enterprises of Rivne region;
- Short-term 1.5 month training programs have been conducted (216 hours) for 19 study groups (298 persons). 119 graduates have been employed;
- Annual seminars, conferences of regional and national importance have been organized and conducted;
- With the support of RRBC 25 businesses have been created, where more than 100 people are employed.

During only the period of June 1999 – August 2000 by RRBC 10 study groups have been conducted, where 185 persons passed the courses, 18 persons of them have opened their own business, 56 persons have been employed.

A network of local business support organizations has been created in 5 districts of Rivne region.
In whole, during its time of functioning, RRBC has provided services to about 4000 corporate and physical entities, where near 50% of these services have been free of charge.
