IMI-Kyiv was founded in 1989 as a joint venture between the then-Geneva-based International Management Institute and the Institute of Economics of Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. It was the first institution in Ukraine to offer an MBA program based on a Western model. The first candidates started the MBA program at IMI-Kyiv on January 2, 1990.
MBA Programs (Master of Business Administration)
The educational policy at IMI-Kyiv aims to provide not only knowledge and skills but also and equally important, contemporary managerial attitudes. This is achieved through the program design, teaching methods and unique interactive atmosphere developed at IMI-Kyiv.
IMI-Kyiv faculty consult local and multinational companies in strategic management, financial and managerial accounting, international accounting, financial analysis, market research, business development, effective personnel selection etc. A unique feature of IMI-Kyiv's curriculum is the opportunity for students to participate in international consulting projects.
Business Incubator Development Program (BID)
This USAID funded program is implemented in Ukraine since 1996 by IMI-Kyiv's affiliate Center for Innovation Development (CID) in cooperation with Loyola College, Baltimore, USA. The purpose of the BID is to accelerate the growth of small businesses in Ukraine thus creating wealth and job opportunities and improving the overall economic situation.
