The USCTS “Liski” is a structural subdivision of the State administration of the Ukrainian railway transport (Ukrzaliznytsya).
The purpose of founding “Liski” company was the most complete meeting of needs in fast and safe delivery of container cargo “from door to door”, using advantages of intermodal transportation.
The company has stable contractual relations with leading forwarding organizations of CIS and Europe that allows carrying out over-all transport-forwarding service on the territory of CIS, Baltic and Europe countries.

The Center’s representations were founded in all big regional centers of Ukraine: Lvov, Odessa, Donetsk, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk. Owing to this the efficient container delivery in necessary amount to the Ukrainian railway stations is provided during one day.
The USCTS “Liski” gives information about the condition and location of the container.
The Center gives for use 20 and 40-foot universal containers for international carriage that correspond to International convention on safe containers, 1972 UNO/IMO and Customs convention on the containers, 1972.

From 1996, through container train “Ukraine-Express”, connecting ports of Hamburg and Bremerhafen (Germany) with Ukraine (Kiev-Liski station) was founded. In prospect there is transportation of perishing goods in refrigerator containers with technical servicing at terminal facilities: Port Hamburg (Germany) – terminal Slavkov (Poland) – USCTS “Liski” (Ukraine).

The Center transports cargo in container trains in directions: Budapest – Moscow (“Chardash”), Odessa-Moscow (“Odessa”), Gdansk-Odessa/Iliechevsk (“Baltica”), Nikolaev-Moscow.

Owing to this, the delivery time of cargo in large-tonnage containers from the Black Sea ports of Ukraine to stations of Moscow railway junction constitutes three days. Delivery time of cargo to the countries of Central Asia has reduced in twice. Container train “Baltica” delivers cargo from Gdansk/Gdinya (Poland) to Odessa/Iliechevsk in 72 hours.

One of the new activity directions of the USCTS “Liski” is direct participation in operation of international container navigation lines. Such participation stipulates development of freight policy together with sea ports, ship-owners, agent and lines operators, working out and fulfillment of measures of providing services for clients at high standard level, development and execution of joint investing programs.

From 1998 we give our clients the possibility to transport cargo by piggiback trains. So, from Slavkov (Poland) to Kiev (Liski terminal) piggiback train goes less than one day, and custom clearance at the terminal of Center “Liski” takes no more than 1 hour. Besides the specialized rolling-stock for transportation of camions, there are carriages for drivers in the train. Such specialized trains match to the European system of piggiback transportation.

Container transportation using several means of transport reduces the transit time in route in twice, significantly cut the cost of carriage and provides safekeeping of cargo during transportation.

“Liski” terminal.

The Center has at its disposal a terminal of total area more than 27000 sqm, which is situated in Kiev (station Kiev-Liski). The terminal is equipped by two container sites with technical processing capacity of 500 containers per day, open bonded warehouse of 2000 sqm, covered warehouse for storage of different kinds of cargo, of the total area of 6000 sqm, with railway tracks input for 34 carriages, end ramp for arranging piggiback trains. At the terminal it is possible to carry out loading-and-unloading works, related to handling of containers and other cargo, followed by the delivery by motor transport on the territory of Ukraine.

The zone of customs examination, which is situated on the territory of terminal, enables to carry out all the necessary operations of customs registration of the cargo, including change of means of transport.
Moreover, the Center has the staff of specialists for rendering all kinds of customs services.

The Center provides the services of the bonded warehouse for keeping goods in large-tonnage containers.
The terminal is equipped with the modern means of communications.
