"ChornomorNDIproekt" (BLASDARI) is the only Institute in Ukraine which carries out:
- studies in the field of marine transport economy (transport / economical zoningof freight traffic, economical ground of ports specialization, international transport corridors, selection of optimal vessels types, etc.);
- research work in the field of marine hydraulic engineering;
- engineering survey (geology, hydrology, geodesy);
- designs of sea ports, ship repair yards, other objects of sea and river transport infrastructure and designer's supervision over their construction;
- ecological studies (analysis and properties of free air, port water basins and dredged soil, monitoring of natural environment, scientifically ecological provision of construction projects with study of influence on environment);
- investigation, assessment of technical condition and certification of industrial buildings and installations;
- expert evaluation of belongings, property rights and business on the territory of Ukraine.

The largest Black Sea ports Illyichevsk and Yuzhny, Illyichevsk Shiprepair Yard, port structures in Guinea, Cuba, Syria, Yemen were built after the designs of the Institute, the ports of Odessa, Mariupol, Mykolayiv, Kherson, Izmail, Reni, Yalta, Novorossiysk, Tuapse, Poti, Batumi, Vostochny and other were expanded.

The Institute widely and constantly cooperates with known companies from the USA, Germany, Norway, Sitzerland, England, France, Turkey and other countries.
