Poltava Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education named after M.V. Ostrogradsky is specialised in upgarding courses for management and teaching personnel under the specialities received in pedagogical institutions, integrates perspective pedagogical technologies and applies them, assists in spreading national and foreign pedagogical experience.

Sphere of business:

- organisation of postgraduate education for teachers and managing personnel in educational system of the Poltava region;
- creating the network of experimental areas, supporting and basic schools to probate advanced approaches contents and technologies of education;
- development, improvement and application of the idea of business education for pedagogical personnel;
- application of the most recent achievements in the sphere of business, of management and marketing in the sphere of education, implementation of progressive programs;
- discussing issues connected with organizing efficient educational methods at conferences, seminars, "round table talks", training courses;
- holding scientific and methodical and scientific research on education content issues and organisation of teaching and educational process;
- development of advanced maximally effective pedagiogical technologies;
- providing teaching staff with new methodical information;
- development and edition of scientific and educational-methodical literature;
- developmet of pedagogical priorities for educational institutions of the region;
- providing feedback of educational institutions and education departemnts with scientific establishments of Ukraine and the region.
