The year of 1870 —the first Kyiv terminal was built in the whereabouts of the present Vokzalna Square in the valley of the Lybid river. In 2001 the largest reconstruction of the terminal railway station Kyiv Pasazhyrsky was completed, which comprised:
- Central,Prymisky and Pivdenny terminals;
- Eastern and Western tunnels;
- Оverhead passage that unites the building of the
Central terminal with the new Pivdenny one;
- George the Victorious Church;
- Рarking lots;
- trackage development.
Technological developments are based on require ments of maximum passenger traffic distribution of departures and arrivals without their extra grade level crossing. Kyiv asazhyrsky Railway Station is a powerful ter minal with good infrastructure,which significantly
increased functional capability of the railway junc tion and almost doubled its carrying capacity.
The terminal complex,renewed to the 10th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine blended in with the infrastructure of Kyiv.
