The Antimonopoly Committee is a public authority with a special status for protection and development of economic competition in Ukraine.

The main task of the Antimonopoly Committee is to develop and implement the competition policy of the State. First of all this means:
1) State control over observance of competition legislation, prevention, disclosure and discontinuance of violations of legislation;
2) Control over concentrations, concerted actions of enterprises and over price (tariff) regulation of natural monopolies;
3) Promotion of fair competition.
In the framework of its mandate the Committee controls activities of enterprises of all forms of property, public authorities and bodies of local self-governance, as well as operation of foreign enterprises in Ukraine.
