Ukrainian association of corrosionists was founded in 1992. It is voluntary self-governing society of the independent scientists and the organizations, which work in the different field of corrosion protection. The activities of association have been realizing thanks to entrance fee, membership fees and the economic activities. The aim of association to consolidation of scientific - construction elaboration for corrosion protection of the Ukrainian metals' fund.

The main line of activity:
- Organization, elaboration and realization of the scientific - construction methods of machines and constructions corrosion-protection, the elaboration and release of new productions, preparation of standards, making an examination;
- Search of domestic and foreign potential organizations, concerns, plants and partners to contact and to co-operate;
- Elaboration of conception and proposition for program of corrosion protection of metals, machines and equipment;
- Document preparation to found corrosion - methodical center, which will attest and will certificate of the corrosion resistance materials and corrosion resistance technologies;
- Organization consultations, conferens and exhibition, works publication, etc;
- Specialists training
