JSC ALTSEST was founded in 1991 in Kiev. Running a tools business in Ukraine since 1992, the company is known to be a recognized professional operator and the leader of the market. Since 1999 ALTSEST is among the ten leading companies dealing with heating equipment and forestry machinery.

ALTSEST has set up several successful business trends, which it develops today. They are:
- Tools and construction machinery;
- Tools and equipment for forest and garden;
- Water heaters and other heating machinery.

To the beginning of 2005 partners' network of the company counted more than 80 world-famous brands. ALTSEST has 14 exclusivity contracts with the companies, carrying on business in Ukraine and is also an official dealer of over than 70 companies.
Being a leader in its market segment the company regularly participates in specialized international exhibitions, organized in Ukraine, showing technical know-how of world-famous brands.

At the moment the company has such directions:
1. Retail:
- 17 shops, called “ALTSEST-Tools”, 6 of them are situated in Kiev;
- The biggest in Eastern Europe profi-center “ALTSEST. Tools and Equipment” (Kiev).

2. Wholesale:
- Wholesale department in Kiev (central office);
- 8 branch offices in the biggest regional cities of Ukraine;
- 8 representativ offices.
There is a delivery service to more than 500 towns all over Ukraine.

3. Network of service and rental centers:
- Service and rental center, Kiev;
- 3 service and rental stations, Kiev;
- Service and rental stations, situated in different regions in Ukraine.

4. The first internet shop in Ukraine, dealing with tools, equipment and component parts.

Concentration on retail sales for professionals and on whole sales for supermarkets and particularized shops is the basis for prospective development of the company.
