In he structure of institute functions:
1. Two faculties: forestry and garden-park farming and landscape architecture.
2. Scientific and research institute of forestry and decorative gardening.
3. Three teaching and scientific centres: forestry, forest regulation and forest menagement; decorative gardening and landscape architecture.
4. Eleven chairs: forestry, forest cultures; forest protection; forest melioration; forest complex mechanization; woodworking technologies; forest valuation and forest regulation; forest menagement; dendrology and forest selection; botanical garden of NAU;
5. Boyarsk forest experimental station.

The institute realizes preparation of experts of three levels - bachelor, specialist, master's degree in such specialities as:
- forestry;
- garden-park farming;
- woodworking technologies;
- hunting farming.
