Yuzhny, Children's Health-Improving Complex

Lugansk Regional Communal Establishment «Children's Health-Improving Complex «Yuzhny» is situated in beautiful locality of the Crimea, near Bakhchisarai. Lugansk Regional Council together with Lugansk State Administration purchased property complex of Public Company «European House of Children's International Cooperation» and put efforts to creation of this merry country where dreams cume true.
The health complex was created with the purpose that Lugansk children grew healthy and happy. For realization of this task there are all conditions now. The children came to the rest live in four two-storeyed modern comfortable buildings placed in park area. One can accommodate 180 children in the building by six-eight persons in one room. There is hall for games and TV sets, rooms of leaders, two toilets with washstands and receptors with hot water on every floor and others.
The complex has comfortable canteen with three halls where children are served by waiters. Children have balanced five-time feed of natural domestic products. Fruits, vegetables, natural juices, yoghurts, milk and meat foods are included in daily ration. Foods are prepared by highly skilled cooks and pastry cooks. The children's certificated shop-cafeteria operates on the establishment's territory where one can buy food stuffs and essential goods.
Children are always under careful attention of doctors. The office of medical care and consultations works in the health-improving complex round-the-clock. Highly skilled medical service is provided by doctors of Lugansk Regional Department of Health Protection. The well equipped medical rooms function where physical therapy procedures and dental help are provided. If necessary a professional psychologist works with children, leaders and teaching staff.
The health season in the establishment consists of seven shifts for 18 days. The holiday-makers of the complex bathe on own beach equipped with sun covers, fountains with drinking-water, playgrounds, summer shower with hot water and rest room. Under direction of experienced specialists children learn to swim and play favourite water-polo. The best students of Lugansk Pedagogical University named after Taras Shevchenko, skilled teachers, artists, musicians, amateurs and real artists of Lugansk Region work by leaders and educators here. Each of them put great efforts to make life of children interesting in Yuzhny as much as possible and 18 days of occupancy in the Crimea will be glad and full of happiness and remain in memory as unforgettable holiday. Adults aim to harmonize various types of rest and making healthy of children using modern educational technologies. Every shift has own colour of rainbow, direction and theme. During a shift 30 children, two leaders and educator become one team where one for all, all for one. They are brought together by song near fire, love to the native land and its nature. Annually the teaching staff prepares new program that is chain of various games and holidays.
Leisure of children is provided by cinema-concert hall «Luhan» with sound and light equipment for 600 seats, Center of children's creation comprising nine groups of various directions (Crimean souvenir, choreographic, regional, journalistic and others), library with reading-room and others. The health-improving complex has ground for games and dances, volley-ball and basket-ball grounds, soccer field and summer stage.
For years of operation Yuzhny has already made own laws and traditions, songs and legends. The establishment has rewards and symbols; the creation and fantasy live here. The «happy republic» lives by full life. Children can choose excursion by wish, in particular to acquaint with sights of western and southern coast of the Crimea, legendary city of Sevastopol and historical city of Bakhchisarai. For providing full life the establishment has own transport fleet (cars, special machines, ambulance and excursion buses for children). For the sake of avoidance of various confusions a round-the-clock guard is organized on the complex territory with attraction of workers of the specialized brigades.
Yuzhny Complex has all conditions that every child can realize himself and get new social experience.
