Ivano-Frankivsk Natsionalny Medical University

Now more than 4 000 students, 750 doctors-trainees, 405 internship doctors, almost 300 junior medical specialists, 30 dental mechanics-stomatologists study in five departments of University (medical, stomatology, pharmacy, post-diploma and foreign students preparation). University has all conditions for successful study as 10 academic buildings, four libraries (over 400 000 textbooks), information-computer center, research sector, medical-genetic center, dental care, training and production base «Arnica» in the resort area of Carpathians (Yaremche), home clinic for 60 beds, sport complex and four dormitories.
The scientists of Ivano-Frankivsk State Medical University are active participants of 22 international multi-central randomized placebo-controlled studies. The row of developments has been executed at the European level. University set close cooperation with medical and pharmaceutical establishments of Ukraine, in particular with State Pharmacological Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (University is its clinical base on approbation of new pharmacological drugs by almost 40 directions), Borshchagivsky Chemical Pharmaceuticals Plant, Pharmaceutical Company «Darnytsya» and Kyiv Vitamin Factory. During a few decades they support cooperation with Central Research Institute of Stomatology of the Ministry of Health of Russian Federation, Byelorussian State Institute of Post-Diploma Study and many others.
