A sole proprietorship Don-Comp was established in 1991. It works on principals of self financing and self repaying. Don-Comp is a fishoutputing enterprise.

There are three basic directions of its activity:

1. COMMERCIAL FISHERY. Company owns fishing refrigerator trawler (351 tons displacement). It catches sprat and anchovy in the Black Sea. Average catching is 1250 t per year. Daily output is 10-15 tons of frozen fish. An over catch are Black sea turbot, Black Sea spiny dogfish (spur dog), Mediterranean scad.

2. COASTAL FISHERY. Coastal fishery team works fishery by small size boats of the following fish species: red mullet; grey mullet; bullhead; slender-schaled scad; bluefish; Black sea turbot.

3. MARICULTURE. Company has been started this activity since 2000 and established a researching laboratory of the Pacific oyster’s fry. Growing of the Pacific oysters has been started since 2002. The first 40 000 pieces has been grown already. Also company has set mussels’ collectors of productivity 100 t per year.
