The Director of Cherkasy Institute of banking of the University of banking of the National bank of Ukraine is Mykola Dmytrenko, Candidate of Economical Science and Professor. Dr. Dmytrenko is Honoured Economist of Ukraine, Excellence of Education of Ukraine, member of the Ukrainian Academy of Science of national progress.
The Institute was founded in 1968 as Financial Technical School of State Bank of the USSR. In 2006 the Institute got a part of the structure of the University of banking of the National bank of Ukraine.
Cherkasy Institute of banking of the University of banking of the National bank of Ukraine realizes the training of specialists of educational-qualification level of Bachelor, Specialist, Master by specializations: “Economy and enterprise”, which has such training directions: Finance and Credit (specialization – Banking technologies and Processes, Finances), Accounting and Auditing.

For its existence years the institute has trained 11 850 highly qualified specialists for banking and finance-credit system.
At the Institute 7 Doctors of Science, Professors and 44 Candidates of Science. As an original result of research work of professorial-teaching staff is international scientific-practical conference.
In 1997 at the Institute in the frame of Ukrainian-German program “Transform” was opened the first in Ukraine the educational – practice bank.
Scientific and intellectual potential, modern material basis allow to the institute deservingly to answer on all calls of time.
