The first issue of the Ukrainian Transport Newspaper "Magistral" has appeared in 1992.
Periodicity of issuing - twice a week, 12 pages in the format B3 and 24 pages in the format B4. The newspaper is popular among railroaders and other workers of the transport industry. Those, for all years of existence the newspaper has almost 100 000 subscribers on average. This year without regard to all temporal difficulties in economic and social life of the country, over 75 000 persons subscribed the newspaper.

The reader audience of "Magistral" covers not only the regions of Ukraine but also CIS countries. Success of the newspaper consists in that employees of the central staff of the editorial office, personal correspondents in the regional centers of Ukraine operatively and fully inform readers about last events in the world and country, directions and developments of domestic transport industry and other countries.

Every reader can read much interesting in materials under heads "Facts", "Tyzhden", "Visti z kolis", "Osobystist", "Dovidkove byuro", "Spozhyvach", "TV guide", "Humour" and "Sport". During free time our subscribers can concentrate on solving riddles, scan words, choose telecast of the week trail of TV listings by wish. Also much useful one can read in "Porady yurista" (lawyer advices) and plan future trip by rail in accordance with the train table periodically printed in the newspaper.
