The plant was founded in 1931 on the basis of 1st Government Leather Factory, which used to produce gagamite (artificial horn) and products made from it. With the development of the factory capacities the factory started to manufacture celluloyd and it had become the major supplier of celluloyd in Ukraine.

After the reconstruction in 60-s the factory was transformed into the multi-profile enterprise to process plastics and had become one of the biggest companies in Ukraine.
