Poltava Discharge Lamps Plant (short name - Plant GRL) is highly mechanized and automated operation enterprise that was established in 1963 and is improving and extending constantly in our days. More than 1500 employees work hard today at creation of high-qualitative, economical production with improved ecological properties.

The enterprise has favorable geographical location: laying in the center of Ukraine it is situated in a sufficient closeness to the largest industrial and trade centers. At the same big highways and railway roads are directly connected with plant territory.

The main consumers of lamp production are national and foreign enterprises in Russia, Byelorussia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Georgia. Raw materials for discharge lamps production are purchased mainly in Russia and Ukraine. Purchasing of strategic materials (phosphors, glass, different kinds of wires etc.) is carried out from leading world producers, such as: Nichia Corporation (Japan), Telux Specialglass GmbH (Germany), Technicke Sclo (Republic Slovakiya), Polam-Warsaw (Poland) and others.

Nowadays the Plant manufactures fluorescent lamps various color range, including ultraviolet and colored lamps; high pressure mercury lamps; high pressure sodium lamps; starters for fluorescent lamps ignition. However, the company plans the expansion of existing product range in the nearest future. The quality system of the international standard ISO 9001:2000 is applied in our enterprise.
