Open Joint-Stock Company "Kerch Metallurgical Plant" was founded in 1900. Spectrum of the production applied within this period is wide enough: switch (equipment for railways) and foundry production, production of steel enamelled ware and decalcomania.

The enterprise comprises five basic productions:
Switches for industrial enterprises, ore-dressing plants, city railways and componentry to them, undergrounds, tram parks, mines, open-cut, numerous mining and smelting operations, construction, chemical, oil-processing, pulp and paper firms and other industrial enterprises. The list of switch production output includes: common left and right direction and symmetrical switches, level crossings, carrying rails, shoe ejecting devices and spare parts for them, hand-shift mechanisms, electric drive fittings for main line switches, as well as tram switches of left and right directions. It is worth mentioning that we produce switches of both domestic and European gauge. By the customer's order switches can be manufactured as applied to working conditions of home and foreign freight and passenger railway transport systems. Within last several years we successfully deliver switch production to Islamic Republic of Iran, which ultimate customer is Iranian State Railroad.

The up-to-date (2) foundry production has obtained the possibility to produce articles from several kilograms up to 10 tons, viz: iron sewerage system manhole covers, stove castings, corrugated flooring tile, wedge gate valves, flanges, lawn fences, downpours lattices, grate-bars for hot-water boilers, etc. Our foundry production is considered to be one of the best in Ukraine as regards quality. Capacity attained in cast-iron founding makes up 82 900 tons, in steel founding – 8 200 tons a year. High level of mechanization and automatization of production processes, advanced technology allowed the plant to increase the output of high quality production significantly. Cast products of the plant comply with home and foreign standards for irons type SCh10-SCh251, steel type 15L-55L, 20GL, 35GL, 20GSL, 30GSL, 110G13L. The plant manufactures sets of production equipment for steel and cast-iron pouring as required by the customers. Our foundry can meet your demands for spare and replacement parts for machine building and metallurgical equipment, as well for home and foreign-made marine engines. We also can offer a wide choice of iron manhole covers corresponding to world standards. Decorative castings of the plant will impart a unique style and respectability to Your house or office. Our castings have obtained the recognition of Western Europe countries. Our first order of the Italian partner was secured 10 years ago. By now the catalogue of cast-iron manhole covers exported to foreign countries totals to 90 articles of observation and downpour manhole covers and lattices of different sizes with the weight from 9 up to 400 kg.

Delivery of foundry and switch products abroad is effected through the ports of Kerch, Astrakhan, Mariupol and Ilichevsk. Net of the forwarding companies working with the plant is very wide, this enables to choose advantageous and efficient terms of delivery for our partner.

The history of Kerch (3) enamelled steelware production makes up 25 years. Such articles as saucepans, kettles, hollow trays, trays, hollow dishes, frying-pens, colanders, tanks, wash-basins, mugs and dishes are made of thin cold-rolled metal sheet thickness 0,5-1,2mm, GOST 24244-80. Their outside surface has a wide colour spectrum: white, gray, cream, blue, red, brown, etc. Saucepans containing from 1,0 up to 10,0 litres could be of conical, spherical and cylindrical shape. Most of the articles have stainless ring on the cover and/or body, that makes them more attractive, winning and serviceable. All covers are fitted with black-colored heatproof plastic handle having a form of knob. The kettles could have either spherical form and black-colored plastic cradle-mounted handle, or body handle and demountable whistle. The articles are covered with bright transfers (decalcomania) and enamelled coatings complying with sanitary and hygienic standards of the Ministry of Health Protection of Ukraine, as well as foreign standards and delivered either in sets or each article separately. Decoration made to the patterns of European manufacturers – marmoreal coatings, strips in combination with spray-paintingallow Kerch enamelled steelware compete with ceramics as regards exterior. The kitchen utensils are competitive both at home and foreign markets. Our products are well-known in Italy, South African Republic, Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania.

The range of (4) stencilled decalcomania workshop is very wide and so unique that allows it to be practically exclusive manufacturer of such production in Ukraine. The workshop was founded in 1983. "Know-how" and equipment were supplied by "Werner Kammann" (Germany). Besides transfers for steelware we produce decalcomania paper for china and glassware.

(5) INSTRUMENT- MAKING PRODUCTION: gas-welding devices, working on distilled water, destined for welding of metals, repair of domestic machinery, automobiles and sewerage systems, as well as for jewellery and decorative works. Besides that, our instrument-making production manufactures plastic articles for domestic and technical purposes.
