The history of the ZTMC dates back to 1935 when magnesium production started. Later on the production of spongy titanium, semiconductor germanium (in 1956) and semiconductor silicon (in 1964) was organized at the enterprise.
ZTMC products and the fields of their application
Spongy titanium (Ti) is used in production of ingots and rolled products for aerospace engineering, petrochemistry, automobile construction industry, shipbuilding, industrial and household engineering, medicine and architecture.
Germanium (Ge) is used in infrared and fiber optics, computer and space communication links, pharmaceutics, as catalysts in the production of foodstuff packaging.
Silicon (Si) is used in electronics, solar power engineering, power and information optics.
