UkrGiproTyazhMash, Ukrainian State Institute for Designing Enterprises of Heavy Engineering Sector

"UkrGiproTyazhMash" was created in 1928 and for 75 years it is considered to be the leading institute in Ukraine for designing enterprises of heavy, power and transport engineering. The institute has a strategic significance for Ukraine's economy and national security. Upto 1992 the institute used to be the leading designing institute for carriage-making works of the Soviet Union.

By the institute design projects a number of worldwide works were constructed:
- "Serp i Molot" Works, Malyshev Works, "Turboatom" R&P Enterprise (city of Kharkiv);
- "Novokramatorsk Machine-Building Works" CJSC, (Kramatorsk, Ukraine);
- "EnergoMashSpezStal" OJSC, (Kramatorsk, Ukraine);
- "AzovMash" OJSC, "AzovObsheMash" OJSC (Mariupol, Ukraine);
- Boiler-Making Works in Taganrog and Belgorod (Russian Federation);
- Production complex for manufacturing carriages for electric trains (Moscow oblast, Russian Federation);
- "Stakhanov MAchine-Building Works" OJSC, (Stakhanov)

By the Institute design projects a number of works were reconstructed and extended:
- "Korukovka Carriage-Building Works" OJSC;
- "Riga Carriage-Building Works" R&PC (Lithuenia);
- "Altaysky Carriage-Building Works" OJSC (Russian Federation);
- "Egorov Carriage-Building Works" OJSC (St.Petersburg, Russian Federation);
- "Carriage-Building Works" OJSC (Tver, Russian Federation);
- "Locomotive Building Works" R&PC (Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine) and etc.

Possessing up-to-date computing facilities, normative information-technical base and highly qualified specialists, the Institute provides quality of the developed projects in:
- complex designing of engineering companies;
- acting as the general contractor;
- engineering part of main and auxiliary facilities of engineering, transport and power-engineering complex;
- general plan and transport;
- architectural-construction part of industrial and public buildings and constructions;
- industrial pipelines, heating pipelines, gas supplying and water systems, sewage systems;
- power supply, power facilities, automatics, lighting;
- environment protection;
- labour protection.
