"Hartron" Corporation was founded in 1959 as a research and production complex with the purpose of creating missile and space unit automatic control systems.
From 1959 to 1990 the Corporation created four generations of control systems for battle missile units. The USSR rocket-nuclear defense shield was based on inter-ballistic missiles equipped with "Hartron" control systems including SS-18 and SS-19, nowadays updated into carrier rockets "Dniepr", "Rokot" and "Strela".
Within the framework of international projects "Hartron" participated in creating a European carrier rocket "Vega" and in the program "Sea Launch".
"Hartron" has developed control systems for Ukrainian satellites "Tselina", "Sich", "Okean" and for micro-satellites as well.
Nowadays Hartron's experience in the development of control systems for special application spacecraft, having mass more than 20 tons, and for their docking and mating in space has been appreciated and demanded by the international community for the development of the international space station "Alfa".
At present "Hartron" Corporation unites 13 enterprises with their own areas of activity, embracing the whole life-cycle of products being manufactured and the quality of executed work is guaranteed by the two-level corporate quality assurance system, based on international standards of ISO 9000 series.
Taking advantage of the accumulated research and engineering potential the Corporation besides missile and space equipment programs takes part in large scale projects for nuclear and fossil power plants, various objects of the power industry, railway transport, oil and gas complex, agricultural machine building and other businesses, which makes 70% of the total scope of Hartron's work.
POWER INDUSTRY
"Hartron" automated systems are used at all nuclear power plants of Ukraine.
High quality of services and products, delivered to nuclear power plants of Ukraine, Russia and other countries by Westron (that was established by "Hartron" Corporation together with the American company "Westinghouse") is guaranteed by the quality assurance system fully meeting the requirements of international standards ISO 9001: 2000.
Westron was the first in Ukraine to get TUV CERTcertificate.The system has accounted for the requirements of the USA standard NQA-1, used for nuclear power plant security systems.
An integrated solution of automation, protection, measurement and registering problems, remote control of various power units with 6 to 330 kW opened new possibilities in building dispatch control systems with application of a series of microprocessor modules of the relay protection "Diamant".
To up-date operating control systems of nuclear and fossil power plants a series of hardware units and cabinets, a series of cabinets and unified process protection units as well as light-diode indicating displays have been developed.
Products to be delivered to power units have been certified and meet the requirements of standards ISO-9001:2000.
RAIL ROADS
80% of electric equipment of passenger carriages of high-speed trains from Kyiv to Kharkiv and from Kyiv to Dniepropetrovsk have been supplied by Hartron. For the first time in CIS an automated information and diagnostics system "VID" based on a portable computer has been installed. The system processes in on-line regime the data on the state of electric equipment of the whole train carriages and other functional information, coming from the train crew during the movement of the train. By this time on the rail roads of Ukraine, Russia and Belarus about 500 carriages have been equipped with systems "Express",
monitoring and diagnosticating electric equipment of various kinds of passenger carriages. More than 1600 carriages have been equipped with fire localization signalling systems "Prometei". Unified ecology-friendly hygiene equipment with the closed loop of utilization is installed in carriages of diesel trains.
Almost 40 railway stations in Ukraine have been provided with panels of centralized electric control of railway switches and signals.
Kharkiv railway stations have been provided with information systems and passenger admittance control systems developed by "Hartron".
OIL & GAS
"Hartron" automatic process control systems work at the Coke batteries of Novolipetsk Integrated Iron-and-Steel Works (Russia). At "Zaporozhkoks" plant the automatic process control system of the module, converting gas condensate into petrol and a device checking the level of filling up various vessels with easily inflammable liquids have been installed. Systems of linear telemetry, automatic process control systems of reservoir parks, the equipment of guaranteed control of electro-conductive shutters, automatic process control systems of oil preparation shop and many other systems of Hartron manufacture work on the Near-Dniepr oil main pipe-lines and other objects of the oil and gas industry.
