Closed Joint–Stock Company "Firm "Poltavpyvo" was created on the basis of Poltava Brewery built in 1965. The producing capacity made 1 mln. decalitres that year.
Only beer on tap and bottled beer were produced before 1985.

In 1985 non-alcoholic soda drink workshop (capacity – 470 decalitres per year) was built and put into operation on the initiative of General Director Mykola Sutkovych.
In 1996 beer in kegs was put into full production.

At present JSC "Firm "Poltavpyvo" is one of the stable operating enterprises of beer and soft drink industry of Ukraine. Up-to-date Italian production line of beer filtering has been put into operation.
4 cylindrical and conic combi-tanks (capacity: 400 m3; manufacturer’s works: Danish company «Holvrieka»), German automatic line for beer in kegs, Italian automatic line for beer preparing to the filling, up-to-date separator for barley sorting are installed at the brewery.
Total capacity of the company is 2.5 mln. decalitres per year (data from 01/01/2001).

New workshop of beer filling was put into operation in 2001. The most vanguard technology of beer filling on automatic line of capacity of 36 thousands bottles per hour (made in Germany) is applied here. In this workshop launching automatic line for filling into PET-bottles is anticipated in the near future.
Up-to-date equipment of yeast propagation and automatic station CIR are installed and used at work.

8 cylindrical and conic combi-tanks made in Denmark, automatic line of beer filling into kegs (capacity: 120 kegs per hour) are bought, assembled and put into operation in 2001.

Building of a new brewing workshop with German equipment installing and full computerization of wort brewing process is stipulated by perspective plan. Therefore capacity of the enterprise will increase.

The product range is renewed every year.
The ecologically pure beer of 7 denominations and 10 kinds of soft drinks are offered by "Poltavpyvo" today. Every of them has its original especial, harmonious taste and smell. Every drink is a real source of cheerfulness and delight.

Many times the products were awarded with gold medals at the professional competitions of Ukraine, international competitions in Moscow in 1997-2000 (gold medals and award of the best beer of the year). The company has awards for stable high quality (International competitions in Spain and France).

Since 1998 JSC "Firm "Poltavpyvo" has been co-operating with German technologists on production of beer "Kaltenberg" (Germany).
