Open Joint -Stock Company "Lvivteploelectroproekt" was set up in 1994 on the basis of the State Research Engineering and Geotechnical Institute "Lvivteploelectroproekt" founded in 1945 for engineering of thermal power plants, substations and transmission lines.
The Institute activities cover the following basic trends:
- Overall engineering of:
-condensing type power stations with unit power capacity from 100 MW up to 500 MW for all kinds of organic fuel;
-heat - electric generation plants with power-and-heat supply and counter -pressure turbines of power capacity from 50 MW up to 250 MW for all kinds of organic fuel;
-combined cycle installations of discharge-type with regeneration replacement or binary type with gas turbines of power capacity from 16 MW up to 110 MW.
- Elaboration of designs for modernization and reconstruction of the existing power stations of all types and parameters.
- Engineering of heat supply systems and installations for industrial and public service projects including hot-water and steam boiler installations, heating systems, pump houses, etc.
- Engineering of gas pressure reducing stations with arrangement of turbines, small power capacity hydroelectric stations and wind power generation plants.
- Engineering of buildings and facilities of industrial and Civil construction with utilization of new technologies and materials.
- Engineering of chemical water treatment plants, turbine condensate polishing plants, dirty condensate polishing plants etc with application of the latest technologies in the branch of water and waste water treatment at power plants.
- Engineering of hydrotechnical structures and facilities, process and public service water supply systems;
- Engineering of railways and motor - roads for industrial enterprises.
- Engineering of gas supply systems for industrial and public service enterprises.
- Comprehensive engineering survey for industrial and Civil construction with application of modern laboratory equipment. The above engineering survey covers the following investigation: geodetic, geological, hydrogeological, seismological, hydrological, climatological.
- Investment substantiation for construction of new power projects and reconstruction of the existing power plants including elaboration of business - plans.
- Consulting and engineering services for construction and reconstruction of power projects.
- Since its establishment the Institute elaborated designs for 42 Nos. of thermal power stations.
Basic Power Stations constructed as per the designs of "Lvivteploelectroproekt" Institute
The Institute has an experience in collaboration with foreign Customers and is the author of the design for 500 MW Bichke TPS in Hungary with units of supercritical parameters, Vindhyachal TPS-1, Kahalgaon TPS, Maithon TPS, Kayamkulam TPS and Mangalore TPS in India with 210 MW units and Vindhyachal TPS-2 with 500 MW units.
For a period of 1998-1999 “Lvivteploelectroproekt” together with “Chehpol” Company elaborated a feasibility report on reconstruction and modernization of generating units Nos.1-12 and a feasibility report on reconstruction of generating unit No.1 (pilot design) at Burshtyn TPS with the collaboration of ABB Company.
A feasibility report on construction of the thermal power station in Mukachevo was elaborated with the collaboration of “System Consulting” Company (Hungary) in 1998.
The Institute collaborates with prominent power companies of Europe in development of modern power generating equipment including combined cycle installations and desulfurization plants.
The system for the ensurance of quality of engineering work is being under introduction at the Institute in accordance with the requirements of the International Standards ISO-9000.
The Institute has licences for all kinds of engineering and geotechnical investigation works for the Ukraine, Russia, Byelorussia and Moldova.
The director of the Institute has a state qualified certificate to carry out professional activity in the organization of comprehensive engineering. The certificate has been issued by the Federal Licence Centre of Russia.
The Institute body numbers 350 experienced specialists capable of resolving comprehensively modern engineering problems.
