OJSC “SELMI” is a leading company in Eastern Europe and CIS engaged in design and manufacture of analytical instruments for scientific research and electron beam welding equipment.

For more than 40 years “SELMI” has been designing and manufacturing analytical instruments and technological equipment for science and high-tech companies providing its customers with maintenance services and training courses.

HISTORY OF THE COMPANY

June 6, 1959 Birthday of the plant. First mass spectrometer MI-1305 was manufactured.

December 1959 First electron microscope EM-5 was manufactured

August 1960 First mass spectrometer was exported to China Democratic Republic

1961 First design copyright for ultrasonic disperser was received

May 1962 First design of original mass spectrometer MSV-1

October 25, 1968 Order of Cabinet of Ministers of UkrSSR on giving the name of “50 years of VLKSM” to the plant

March 1971 The plant was awarded an order of “ Labor Red Banner”

1983 Electron microscope building plant was renamed into PA “ELECTRON”

1994 PA “ELECTRON” was reorganized into JSC “SELMI”

The company has developed and put into production some new models of transmission electron microscopes and scanning electron microscopes (including microscopes containing X-ray microanalysis capabilities), isotope mass spectrometers, chemical mass spectrometers, gas chromatographs, atom absorption spectrophotometers, laboratory equipment, technological equipment for electron beam welding and for production of protecting or decorative coatings in vacuum, etc.

“SELMI” products have been sold to more than 20 countries, including countries of former USSR and countries of former Mutual Economic Assistance, USA, Japan, Germany, France, Canada, Finland, China, Egypt and others.
