SC Ukrferry is the owner of rail ferries ("Geroi Shipki", "Geroi Plevny"), passenger ferries ("Caledonia", "Yuzhnaya Palmyra") and also the Bareboat-Charterer of Ro-Ro vessel of "Akademik Tupolev" type. Since the moment of its foundation SC Ukrferry is operating international Rail/Ro-Ro ferry service Ilyichevsk (Ukraine) - Varna (Bulgaria). In December 1996 in frames of TRACECA corridor the company started operating on the ferry route Ukraine - Georgia.
Since November 1998 "Ukrferry" Shipping Company has been carrying out cargo-passenger transportation on Odessa - Istanbul (Turkey) line by passenger ferry "Caledonia", In May 2001, the Company launched a new Rail/Ro-Ro ferry route llyichevsk - Derince (Turkey).
The Company also provides tourist and crewing services as well as Internet - provider services.
Vessels of the company are flying Ukrainian flag and manned by Ukrainian crews. SC Ukrferry is a member of the Black Sea International Shipowners Association (BINSA) and the Association of Shipowners of Ukraine.
In 1998, Ukrferry Shipping Company successfully passed Certification on compliance with requirements of the International Management Code for the safe operation of ships and for pollution prevention (International Safety Management /ISM/ Code) and was awarded Certificates of Bureau Veritas. In November 2001 the company passed Certification of Bureaus Veritas Quality International (BVQI) on quality standards ISO 9001 (2000).
