For more than 20 years visitors to Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, that can boast of its historical and architectural sites have become honoured guests of the "Rus" Hotel.

After Ukraine declared its independence in 1991, the "Rus" Hotel became temporal home for a number of foreign embassies: Republic of China, India, Switzerland, Norway, Finland, Denmark. Many distinguished guests stayed in the Hotel Rus on the occasion of national and international events like conferences, conventions, round-table discussions, sports and culture activities.

For twenty years of operation about 1.5 million guests have been accommodated in the "Rus" Hotel. The hotel came to be the second home for many of our guests. "Rus" can boast of such guests as Marshal of Aviation Shaposhnikov, General Gromov, US Defence Minister Cohen, famous singers Julio Iglesias, Patricia Kaas, Edite Pieha, Radmila Karaklaich, movie actors Yevstigneev, Tikhonov, Yankovskiy, Pugovkin. There were delegations of US congressmen, NATO representatives, mayors of European cities, who stayed in the hotel.

"Rus" is a member of the Kyiv Chamber of Trade and Commerce, and the International Hotel and Restaurant Association (IH&RA).

There are 408 comfortable rooms in the hotel, including business suites, suites, twin and single rooms. All of them have comfortable furniture, manufactured on special order. The total capacity of the hotel is 644 guests.

"Rus" is one of the few hotels in Kyiv that have extensive restaurant facilities offering anything from small personal parties to receptions and ceremonies for 500 guests, as well as wedding parties and national holidays celebrations.

A conference hall, completed in 1999, has total space of 400 sq.m and seating capacity of up to 260 persons, it is good for corporate meetings, seminars and workshops, presentations, educational programmes, personnel training, etc.

Business services rendered to the guests are: Internet access, copying, receiving and sending fax messages.
