Institute of Hydrobiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine

Institute of Hydrobiology - is a modern research centre with a large experience in freshwater ecosystem research, it possesses highly qualified staff.

Priorities:
- hydrobiological: determination of the main mechanisms of freshwater ecosystem functioning aimed at controlling their state, water quality and bioproductiveness;
- radioecological: study of migration process, biotransformation and biological influence of radioactive and biological polution on aquatic life;
- ichthyological: development of assessment and forecasting of ichthyofauna conditions in natural and man's impact factors and methods of its aimed forming;
- biotechnological: designing of ecological and biological grounds to cultivate aquatic life
