Lviv State Academy of Finance began to write its history on August 30, 1957.
This educational establishment has the highest (ІV) level of accreditation and carries out preparation of specialists for state authorities of the financial system and financial sphere of branches for Ukrainian economy in the area of knowledge 0305 "Economics and Entrepreneurship". Academy comprises such faculties as finance; accounting and economics; center of extra-mural studies; center of post-graduate studies and pre-entrance preparation. Academy prepares specialists by directions: "Finances and Credit", "Accounting and Auditing" and "Economic Cybernetics". The educational process is provided by eleven departments: state finances; finances of subjects of management activity; theories of finances and credit; economics and entrepreneurship; economics theory; accounting and auditing; economic cybernetics; mathematical methods in economy; social and humanitarian subjects; foreign languages; physical training. Due to the requirements of Bologna convention, modern technologies and interactive methods of studies are used in educational process.
The research workers of Academy conduct fundamental studies on problems of becoming and development of the financial system, optimization of functioning of the tax system of Ukraine, investment policy on state and regional levels, participate in research projects.
Lviv State Academy of Finance has close contacts with foreign educational establishments and scientific establishments. It fruitfully co-operates with Technical University (Lodz, Poland), Higher School of Economics and Administration named after Professor Edward Lipinski (Poland), State Higher Professional School, Jaroslaw (Poland) and Higher Professional School of University of Applied Sciences (Lausitz, Germany).
For organization of successful educational process they invite specialists-practices, managers of financial, tax and control-revision bodies.
50-years way of becoming and development of the educational establishment is a bright certificate of its properties and performing in forming and becoming of many generations of financiers and economists.
