Basic institute's activities:
1. Development of perspective and improvement of operating technologies, equipment, specifications related to:
- vegetable oil extraction;
- processing of vegetable oil and fats (hydration, refining, deodorization, winterization, bleaching and hydrogenation);
- production of vegetable proteins (isolates, concentrates, soy protein milk, etc.); technology for comprehensive use of vegetable proteins in food products;
- production of margarine, culinary and confectionery fats;
- mayonaise production;
- production of toilet and laundry soap.
2. Design of new and reconstruction of operating oil-and-vegetable seed processing plants.
3. Supply of metrological equipment to operating oil-and-vegetable seed processing plants;
4. Quality control of oil produced, raw materials and production rejects in compliance with Certification System UkrSEPRO (accreditation certificate UA 6.001.T.335 dated September 17, 1998 ).
5. Drawing up of quarterly and annual information brochures on the operation of the oil-and-vegetable seed processing plants in Ukraine and review of those operating in Russia. We provide monthly information of the current operation of oil-and-vegetable seed processing plants in Ukraine.
6. Elaboration of business plans for advanced technology and equipment introduction aimed at developing and reconstructing of oil-and-vegetable seed processing plants.
7. Marketing research into Ukrainian markets of oilseed raw materials and products in Ukraine. Calculations of Ukraine's demand for certain oilseed raw materials and products.
8. Information and consulting services to oil-and-vegetable seed processing plants (State Standards and specifications for raw materials, finished products and by-products, etc.).
